BELL 205A-1 ++

HAI operates multiple Bell 205A-1++ helicopters world-wide. It is a single engine, two blade medium aircraft with a max takeoff weight of 10,500 lbs. This helicopter has consistently proven its capabilities supporting missions in areas of high altitude, high temperature and turbulent mountain environments. The Boeing CH-47D Chinook is an American twin-engine, tandem rotor heavy-lift helicopter. Its primary role for the company is heavy lift operations. It has a wide loading ramp at the rear of the fuselage and three external-cargo hooks with the capability to lift 26,000 lbs under ideal conditions. With a top speed of 170 knots (196 mph, 315 km/h) the helicopter is faster than contemporary 1960’s utility helicopters and attack helicopters. The CH-47D is among the heaviest lifting western helicopters. Its name is derived from the Native American Chinook people.
